Monday-ing - March 16

It's Monday, again. I hope everyone had a great St. Paddy's weekend filled with all varieties of green things that are not meant to be green. Here's what's been happening in my life over the past 7 days.

Learning so much from the artists that I'm photographing for my Artist Studies series. It's so fascinating and inspiring watching other people create. I've only started, but I already have a huge new found appreciation for the work that they are doing.

Enjoying this warm weather. Spring, welcome back! Winter, it's been real but it's time for you to go.

Reading a western book called Riders of the Purple Sage. I've never really read any Westerns but I love that setting. The romance of the open plains and the silent, stern gunman. And this seems to be the one that everyone says to start with. So far, it's pretty awesome.

Anticipating eagerly, go to Minneapolis next month for an anniversary session and a couple concerts. It'll be a blast to meet up with Kelly and Jon again and I get to see two of my favorite artists live, Sufjan Stevens and Lord Huron. Should be good!

Rewatching House of Cards season 2 to get ready for the new season. I couldn't give a rat's ass about politics in general but the characters are so crazy good.

Craving getting out of the country. I've been looking at ticket prices all week to a couple different places. I just watched the movie Maidentrip, which is about the youngest girl to sail solo around the world and it certainly didn't help my wanderlust. This fall might have to be the time to plan something!

Loving the encouragement that I've gotten from everyone since launching this site and my new business! I was completely taken aback, so a huge thank you to everyone that reached out! Very much appreciated!

Scheduling a ton more shoots with different artists in the area. Some seriously cool stuff coming up, like the wicked talented Meg Roberts, seen below.
